Tifosi Lens Technology:

 UVA/UVB Protection:  All Tifosi lenses provide 100% protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Polycarbonate Lenses:  Constructed from scratch resistant, shatterproof  polycarbonate

Vented Lenses: Increase airflow to prevent fogging and help keep you cool.

Glare Guard:  Tifosi's proprietary Glare Guard lens coating reduces eye strain.

Fototec Technology:  Tifosi Fototec lenses adjust rapidly to changing light conditions utilizing variable tint technology.  Whatever the light condition, Fototec lenses will enhance your performance and increase your comfort by supplying superior clarity and protection.  Microscopic photochromic particles are embedded in the lens. In bright sunlight the lens particles react to UV rays, darkening the optics and ensuring additional glare protection.  With low light conditions, the lens particles return to their lighter natural state, allowing the eye to have unencmbered vision.

Polarized Technology:  Glare is caused by sunlight reflecting off surfaces like water, roads, snow.  It reduces your ability to see clearly or to recognize hazards in sports or daily life.  Tifosi Optics polarized lenses filter out glare and transmit only usable light, providing you with increase visual clarity while reducing eyestrain.  Tifosi Optics olarized lenses are designed and built for the active user.  Our lenses feature embeded polarized material and are decentered for greater clarity.  Lens tints are designed to eliminate glare, enhance color and offer UV protection, filtering 100% UVA and UVB rays.  

Polarized Fototec and Polarized Clarion:  Tifosi provides a variety of polarized lens options including Polarized Fototec and Polarized Clarion Mirror.  In addition to eliminating glare, Polarized Fototec enhances color, contrast and clarity in static or varying light conditions.  Polarized Clarion mirror lenses eliminate glare and are equipped with a hydrophobic coating that repels water and perspiration, ensuring a clean and clear viewing surface.

 

 Tifosi RX:

Since 2003 Tifosi has offered outdoor enthusiasts the most technically advanced sunglasses on the planet.  Now you can get the same technically advanced Tifosi sunglasses with prescription lenses.  The only difference between a Tifosi sunglass and a Tifosi Rx sunglass is the Rx.  Digital RX, featuring digitally back surfaced lesnes for superior optical clarity, are available through Tifosi Authorized Rx labs.

Rx Optical Adapters:  Rx-ready adaptors are available for the Veloce, Podium and Dolomite 2.0 models, providing flexible, lightweight and affordable options for sport optics.  The Veloce adaptors accomodate 6-base or 8-base lesnes, and the Dolomite 2.0 accomodates 6-base, allowing for a wider range of  prescriptions.

Combining the technical, quality and value benefits of Tifosi optics, key frames in the collection are outfitted with high performance reading lenses.  Whether reading a book on vacation, riding in the peloton or golfing 18 holes, the Reader sunglasses will enhance your vision.  Tifosi Optics Readers allow you to focus on what you've been missing with regular sunglasses.    Tifosi Readers feature built in magnification that makes reading cell phones, GPS devices, cyclometers or scorecards a breeze.  With a choice of +1.50, +2.00 or +2.50 magnification, these bifocal lesnes are available in the Tyrant 2.0, Veloce, Radius and Jet models.  The Reader lenses are also available separately to retro-fit existing models.
